Laura Jager, MSc (1992) is a psychologist in training to become a cognitive behavioral therapist and will start working at Psychotherapy & Movement in January 2021. Laura studied Clinical Psychology at the University of Amsterdam and graduated as a psychologist in 2019, after which she started working in acute psychiatry at the Spoedeisende Psychiatrie Amsterdam. Here she gained experience with acute psychiatric and psychosocial problems. Within the Spoedeisende Psychiatrie Amsterdam she has provided assistance to families with children and to young adults/ children in crisis situations.
In her work she likes to bridge the gap between treatment, diagnostics and scientific research. That is why, in addition to her work in clinical practice, she also works as an independent researcher for a randomized controlled trial into new evidence-based trauma treatments.
Laura combines her work at Psychotherapy & Movement with work at the NPI. The NPI is a mental healthcare institution that works from a developmental psychodynamic vision on the treatment of people with personality disorders. She is very enthusiastic about continuing to develop in order to provide the best possible service to clients and is looking forward to continuing her development at Psychotherapy & Movement.
